泰晤士河 （Thames River）是英国境内最长也是最重要的水路，发源于英格兰西南部的科茨沃尔德希尔斯，河水流向东边的伦敦，全长338千米，伦敦下游河面变宽，形成一个宽度为29千米的河口，注入北海。在伦敦上游，泰晤士河沿岸有许多名胜之地，诸如伊顿、牛津、亨利和温莎等。泰晤士河的入海口充满了英国的繁忙商船，然而其上游的河道则以其静态之美而著称于世。
在英国历史上泰晤士河流域占有举足轻重的地位。英国的政治家约翰·伯恩斯曾说：泰晤士河是世界上最优美的河流，“因为它是一部流动的历史。”
The Thames is a major river flowing through southern England. While best known because its lower reaches flow through central London, the river flows through several other towns and cities, including Oxford, Reading and Windsor.
The river gives its name to the Thames Valley, a region of England centred around the river between Oxford and West London, and the Thames Gateway, the area centred around the tidal Thames and the Thames Estuary to the east of London.
